Cast Parts With Lamellar Graphite (Gray Iron)

As a material, gray iron is easy to process and hardens well. Gray cast iron is characterized by above-average wear resistance, excellent damping properties as well as very good dimensional stability and impresses with its form and function.

We process cast iron in the following qualities:

Dossmann Factory standard based on DIN-EN-1561: 2012-01

The cast iron grade is determined according to the relevant wall thickness and tensile strength. The Brinell hardness applies only to the specified wall thickness range, they are determined by the shear pin test method. Hardness ranges can be agreed for specific parts of the casting.
